The first date

Preparing for a first date. Regardless of age, it is most certainly one of those moments in life when we feel like a teenager. I’ve personally been off the market for a few years, but many of my friends told me about their anxieties to choose what to wear before their first meetings. No need to panic ladies, I'm more than happy to look into this issue for you. It would be nice if you could just enjoy the feeling of excitement and fun of getting ready, without being obsessed by what you should wear.

Here are some outfits ideas that will save you time and hassle when the time comes for you to select the outfit that will send "the right message", but also to make a good impression.

The skinny jeans, a simple top and high heeled shoe (medium)

This set is quite simple, you will say and I could not agree more, but let’s keep in mind that apparently guys do like it simple. I have to admit that it's pretty easy to understand why. There really is something sexy and seducing about a woman wearing her favorite pair of jeans, that will make you radiate the incredible beauty of its "girl next door" look.

Medium heel shoe is a great choice because it will give you the confidence you need, while being comfortable to wear. The last thing you want is to spend the evening in shoes that make you suffer and distracts you from your companion.

 Sneakers and pretty dresses

That's right ladies. While guys usually prefer high heels, they also love when their companions combine a girly dress with comfortable canvas shoes. This is a very good idea for active and athletic girls.

By choosing this kind of outfit for your date, you will show that you are aware of your qualities and your inner beauty, but also that you're not afraid to experiment every once in a while.

The knee boots

God bless whoever invented the knee boots! This shoe is ESSENTIAL. Combine these incredible leather boots with whatever you like, jeans, skirts, dresses or tight trousers. Even if you decide not to wear them on the first date, remember that you have them stashed somewhere in your closet. They will drive him crazy.

The perfect date night: a dinner and a movie

The famous "dinner and a movie" concept is an excellent opportunity for you to express your feminine side and show that you have class and elegance. Since you probably do not know the kind of restaurant he has in mind for your first date, it is advisable not to exaggerate when choosing your outfit.

Go for something subtle, delicate and romantic. Guys love the classic outfits, such as the little black dress, polka dot dress, red dress. High heels are inevitable for these occasions. Ad please, be sure to choose clothes that are made of good quality, natural fabrics and materials.

Shoes, shoes and shoes
Believe it or not, men do notice the shoes you wear. They love high heels, and they love bright colors. Your shoes should stand out of the ordinary and be of good quality.

Despite all the good fashion advice listed, the one that comes up most often by boys is that: "If the girl really interests me, I do not care a bit about what she wears."

So girls, dressing well is an important part of your preparation, but nothing better complement your ensemble as the charm of a radiant personality and an amazing smile.
Wear them that evening and he will throw himself at your feet ;-)!

The "Varsity Jacket"

For many of us, the "Varsity Jacket" is the code symbol of pride and support for their school sports team. This jacket knew its first real success with Michael Jackson in the 80s. We could now see it everywhere for the past two seasons on the runways of Rag & Bone and Alexander Wang (to name only a few).  If you are not already convinced of its popularity, just take a take a look at the celebrities wearing this comfortable jacket: Rihanna (sporty/casual), Kim Kardashian (urban/sexy/glam) and Taylor Swift (college/sporty/chic) .

Here are some rules to follow to avoid the missteps:

- The sports / chic approach
This jacket can seem simple, but combined with the appropriate sportswear (jeans, shorts, converse, ballet, t-shirts, sweaters, baseball caps), it will give you a much studied casual look.

- The "edgy" approach
Use a lot of eyeliner and don’t be afraid to pile on jewelry. To ensure a more "girly" touch, tie your hair up in a bun and take the opportunity to highlight your lips with your favorite red lipstick, the key to a urban look (think Rihanna).

- The
office approach
For a professional look, opt for a pencil skirt, blouse, delicate necklaces and high heels. Finally, just wear the "Varsity Jacket" over your shoulders. For a sophisticated casual look, change the skirt for tight trousers or boyfriend jeans.

For my part, I’ve been looking at fashion editors, photographers, stylists and bloggers wearing their varsity jacket with heels for months. I love it!

Tell me, will you put your leather jacket aside to try this look?
